FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — A 54-year-old man is facing multiple charges including attempted murder in connection with a 2020 shooting in Florence, according to arrest warrants obtained by News13.

Robert Wright of Charlotte, North Carolina, was charged with two counts of attempted murder, third-degree domestic violence and grand larceny of more than $2,000 but less than $10,000.

After an argument, Wright allegedly stole a Brahmin purse, $60 in cash, four rings and all of his girlfriend’s credit and debit cards on June 6, 2020, warrants show. Officers also noticed a scratch on the woman’s finger, which she said was from Wright grabbing her hand.

Two days later, on June 8, Wright slowly drove by a residence on Mechanic Street, made eye contact with the two victims, then drove by again and fired at their vehicle, according to the warrant. The shot was heard by a nearby neighbor.

Wright was booked into the Florence County Detention Center on Thursday, online records show. He was given a $20,000 bond for the grand larceny and domestic violence charges, but he has not been given bond for his attempted murder charges.
