Coroner identifies 43-year-old woman killed in Loris-area shooting

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Horry County Coroner’s Office has identified a 43-year-old woman who was shot and killed in her home early Tuesday morning.

Tyronda Bellamy was shot and killed in her home near Loris, according to Horry County police . A suspect is in custody, but their identity was not immediately available.

It happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Alice Drive south of Loris, police said. Officers arrived at the home and found a Bellamy with a gunshot wound in the back bedroom.

EMS confirmed Bellamy was dead, according to a police report obtained by News13.

No additional information was immediately available. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
