2 jailed in deadly shooting at Latta apartment complex

LATTA, S.C. (WBTW) — Two men are facing charges in Saturday’s shooting death of a 21-year-old man at a Dillon County apartment complex, deputies said.

Tydrik James Bethea, 18, and Titus Lafon Bethea, 25 , both of Dillon, are being held at the Dillon County Detention Center on charges connected to the death of Jhari German, 21, of Latta.

Deputies found German in a parking lot with a gunshot wound Saturday evening when they responded to the Latta Arms Apartments on Sardis Road in Latta. Deputies performed CPR until EMS arrived but German died later at McLeod Dillon Hospital.

Tydrik Bethea is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, while Titus Bethea is charged with accessory after the fact.
