DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW) — A man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting another man in Darlington early Sunday morning, police said.

Marquis Alexander McGill is being held in the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center with charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is being held without bond.

Officers responded to a call on the 100 block of South Main Street on Sunday and found a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee said the victim, Tyshaun J. Johnson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
