FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — A 15-year-old boy remained in “critical condition” Thursday morning after being shot in Florence, police said.

Officers found the wounded boy after they were called to investigate a shooting at about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Jarrott Street. Police said it was reported that gunfire was heard coming from two different directions and it was “alleged that two subjects or groups were firing toward one another.”

No additional information was immediately available, and the incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigator Mattis at tmattis@cityofflorence.com , 843-665-3191, or at www.florencescpolice.com , where tips can be placed anonymously.
