‘Greasy, cooked chicken’ slows Highway 501 traffic, Horry County Fire Rescue says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A pile of “greasy, cooked chicken” has slowed traffic on Highway 501 at Legends Drive, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

Traffic heading toward Myrtle Beach is blocked because of a large amount of chicken, HCFR said. Crews responded at 2:50 p.m.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety is investigating.
