PEMBROKE, N.C. (WBTW) — One person was killed and another person was airlifted to a hospital after separate shootings in Pembroke on Wednesday, officials told News13.

Pembroke police responded at 2:16 a.m. to the 500 block of Lowry Street for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Keith Oxendine, 53, with a gunshot wound. He later died.

A “person of interest” has been identified in that shooting, according to police. There is no immediate threat to the public.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at Pembroke Mini Mart on E. Third Street, police said. A woman was shot in the head and airlifted to an undisclosed hospital. She is currently in stable condition.

Authorities identified a suspect in that shooting, which is believed to have been domestic-related. That person’s name was not immediately available. Police said there is no current threat to the public.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Pembroke police at 910-521-4333. Count on News13 for updates.

Wonder if that is the Keith that that steals everything under the sun and recently got caught with vintage cars at a chop shop? The age is correct and the name.
