Coroner identifies Myrtle Beach man killed in crash on River Oaks Drive

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man died Monday morning in a three-vehicle crash on River Oaks Drive near World Tour Boulevard, authorities said.

Michael Petrovich, 69, died at the scene from blunt force injuries, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said.

Petrovich was driving a 2015 Ford sedan traveling north at about 10:30 a.m. when it hit a 2012 Honda sedan that was going south, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. It then collided with a 2022 Volkswagen SUV that was also traveling south.

The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to the hospital. The driver of the Honda was not injured. All of the drivers were alone in their vehicles.
