Person hospitalized after Florence County deputies respond to 2 shootings

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A person was taken to the hospital after Florence County deputies on Monday responded to shootings on separate streets, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies first responded at about 9:30 p.m. for a gunfire call on Gilbert Drive in the Florence area, according to the sheriff’s office. When they arrived, they interviewed multiple witnesses but did not identify any victims.

Shortly after, deputies responded to a similar call on Kimberly Lane, and they were told a gunshot victim from Gilbert Drive had been taken to an area hospital in a private vehicle, authorities said. That person’s condition was not immediately available.
