Postal Way reopened after gas line damaged during construction, Horry County Fire Rescue says

CAROLINA FOREST, S.C. (WBTW) — Traffic is flowing again along Postal Way in the Carolina Forest area after being halted Friday morning because of a gas leak reported near Meridian Drive, according to Horry County Fire Rescu e.

Crews responded shortly before 8 a.m. after a four-inch gas line was damaged during construction in the area, HCFR said. No injuries have been reported.

Utility crews have been working to repair the line. Everyone was asked to avoid the area to avoid delays and for the safety of first responders and workers at the scene.
