HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A man told Horry County police someone shot at him at a Galivants Ferry convenience store on Saturday, according to a police report.

It happened at the Gold Leaf Grill and Grocery on Joyner Swamp Road, where officers responded at about 8 p.m. to investigate a report of shots fired, the report said.

A man, who was not injured, told police he was initially at a home on Sycamore Circle where he had been staying when he was confronted by another man who pulled a gun on him, the report said. The victim then left and went to the convenience store.

He told police that while he was there waiting for a ride, the suspect drove up in a Gator utility vehicle, parked near the gas pumps and pulled out a revolver and shot once. He told officers he wasn’t hit but heard a bullet go by him.

No additional information was immediately available.
