    Myrtle Beach police arrest two men after report of shots fired

    MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Two local men are facing charges in connection with a Friday incident along Freedom Way that involved shots being fired, police said.

    Kevin Martin Smith, 55, is charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm into a vehicle and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. David Eugene Galfetti, 60, is charged with third-degree assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

    Authorities said it happened about 8 p.m. in the 90 block of Freedom Way during a reported “weapons discharge” call. Nobody was hurt.

    Officials said the case remains under investigation.
