HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An unattended pot of food is to blame for sparking a camper fire that led to a dog being rescued on Sunday, officials said.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the 10000 block of Kings Road just after 11:30 a.m. to find smoke filling the vehicle. Crews ventilated the camper and a dog was rescued.

Officials said the incident is under control and the animal is expected to be OK.
