MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — This morning will feature a cloudy and cool start, but by the afternoon, more bits of sunshine. We will warm into the low 70s around the coast and Pee Dee, perfectly normal for late October. Low temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 50s in most areas. Right along the coast, lows will be near 60. We could see a few showers develop along the beach late Monday night into early Tuesday morning. Most of the showers will be over by Tuesday afternoon.

Highs tomorrow will increase to the mid-70s with more pockets of sunshine.

Wednesday through Friday, high pressure will situate off the coast and temperatures warm back into the upper 70s to low-80s. It will be an above-average Halloween, but at least it will be dry.

A dry cold front crosses the area Friday night. This will knock the temperatures back into the mid-70s over the weekend.

The tropics are still fairly quiet. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring one potential area in the southwest Caribbean Sea, this has a 40% chance of development over the next week. If it were to get named, it would be Patty. We will continue to monitor this area and provide updates throughout the week.
