ANDREWS, S.C. (WCBD) — An American manufacturer of engineering plastic solutions announced it has invested $7.8 million into expanding its Williamsburg County operations.

AGRU America, based in Georgetown, will add six new jobs and new machinery and equipment to its manufacturing facility at 3537 County Line Road in Andrews.

The company says its mission is to build a sustainable future by making innovative plastic engineering solutions.

“AGRU America has been in South Carolina since 1996. Since then, we’ve expanded multiple times across Williamsburg, Georgetown, and Charleston counties. South Carolina has provided us with an excellent business environment for nearly three decades, and we are thrilled by the ongoing support we have received from state and local officials. Our latest expansion will help ensure we continue meeting the demand for our products and solutions,” said Robert L. Johnson, AGRU America President and CEO.
