    LIST: Ways to report flooded roads, storm damage from Tropical Storm Debby

    CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)—Tropical Storm Debby’s center is inching closer to the Lowcountry, and its historic effects are expected to impact the area. As a result, Lowcountry counties have opened citizen call centers for residents to report storm damage and flooding.

    Charleston County

    The Citizens Services Desk will take non-emergency calls 24 hours a day. City officials said residents can call 843-724-7311 with questions or requests or email citizenservices@charleston-sc.gov .

    Berkeley County

    Residents are asked to report storm damage online first if their home or business is damaged. There are several options for uploading media of the damage.

    If the resident does not have power, then call the Citizen Call Line at 843-719-4800 and leave a detailed message. The call line will also provide automatic updates on how Debby affects the county when called.

    Dorchester County

    To report storm damage, downed trees, storm-related road problems, or flooded roads in Dorchester County, contact the call center at 843- 832-0393.

    Colleton County

    To report downed trees or water blocking roadways, residents are told to call the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office at 843-549-2211 or the Colleton County Emergency Operation Center at 843-549-5632.

    Georgetown County

    To get storm information, contact the Georgetown County Information Hotline at 843-545-3900, which is operational 24/7 when emergency operations are activated.
