    Charleston County deputies searching for missing man with heart condition

    CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announced they are searching last seen at a James Island boat landing.

    John Mack Hitopoulos was reported missing from Sol Legare Boat Landing around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.

    Hitopoulos’ blue Pontiac GTO was found unoccupied at the boat landing. He has a heart condition and is on prescribed medication for the condition.

    “Hitopoulos is 59 years old, about 5’09”, weighs approximately 235 pounds, is bald, and has green eyes,” the agency said.

    Deputies say Hitopoulos was last seen wearing khaki or light-colored shorts with a light blue shirt and tennis shoes.
