SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A public boat landing in Summerville remains closed this week because of damage from Tropical Storm Debby.

Summerville town officials say a cleanup effort at the Herbert H. Jessen Public Boat Landing is ongoing as said people should not attempt to enter the area.

“We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to restore the landing,” the town said.

The landing is located along the Ashley River at the end of Ladson Road.

Town leaders say they will provide details on reopening the landing once that information is available.
