MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – A man is facing charges in connection with a Moncks Corner apartment shooting that left a person injured.

Qwontavous Stevenson, 33, of Moncks Corner, was taken into custody Friday afternoon with help from the US Marshals Service Task Force and Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers with the Moncks Corner Police Department responded to the Northbridge Apartment complex on the morning of August 14 after dispatchers received a call reporting multiple shots fired and a person injured.

A victim was found suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the torso. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Stevenson is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center on multiple charges including one count of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent offense.

    The investigation is ongoing.
