News 2’s Clear the Shelters event, Pet Fest, returns on August 31

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Pet Fest is back! It’s the finale event of our Clear the Shelters month where we work to find homes for pets living at local animal shelters.

You are invited to join News 2 and Hanna Powers at The Wonderer (1705 Meeting Street Road) on Saturday, August 31 for a fun and life-changing event. For the first time ever, this exclusive members-only event space will open to the public – and it’s all for a good cause – helping pets find their forever families.

It’s more than just an adoption event, it’s a celebration of NBC’s annual Clear the Shelters campaign. Immerse yourself in the luxury of The Wonderer and its beautiful atmosphere.

This year’s event will include a free live concert featuring music from Highwater Honky, a live DJ set, and more surprise performances. Expect a lineup of local vendors like Lilli Fuel, Playful Pack, Woof Gang Bakery, and many others.

Plus, you can sip on expertly crafted cocktails and indulge in delicious food options as you mingle with fellow Charleston’s pet lovers.

Proceeds from the day will directly benefit local shelters. Bring your friends and family and make a difference! Pet Fest runs from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
