    Train vs. pedestrian accident shuts down Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston

    NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department shared a traffic alert stating that Ashley Phosphate Road was shut down due to a train vs. pedestrian accident Sunday afternoon.

    The traffic alert was posted via X and Facebook around 4:13 p.m.

    Spokesman Harve Jacobs said the pedestrian was injured in the accident.

    The details of the accident are not yet known.

    As of 4:58 p.m., the North Charleston Police Department shared that the road has reopened.
