Berkeley Animal Center to offer half off adoption fees during Clear the Shelters

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – News 2 is working to find forever homes for all local dogs and cats during our annual Clear the Shelters initiative.

Berkeley Animal Center is one of the many shelters we are partnering with to make sure all animals are adopted by the month’s end.

The shelter has an array of pets waiting on their new families, and there is always a need for help from the community through volunteers, supplies, donations, pet adoptions, and fostering.

Visit the shelter’s website to browse the current pets on hand and to learn how you can help. Adoptions take place at the shelter Tuesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Berkeley Animal Center will offer half-off adoption fees on Saturday at the shelter and during News 2’s second annual Pet Fest .

The event will take place Saturday, August 31 at The Wonderer from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live music and entertainment, food and drink options, and get to know the many adoptable animals that will be on hand.
