    Deputies seek leads on Labor Day weekend shooting in Williamsburg Co.

    WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Deputies in Williamsburg County are investigating a shooting from over the weekend after a gunshot victim showed up at a local hospital Saturday.

    The victim was at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Black River Hospital in Cade when deputies responded. Afterward, the victim was flown to another hospital to be treated for their injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

    Investigators discovered the victim was a passenger in the back of a vehicle when they were struck by a bullet wound from someone firing behind the vehicle. The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office has not uncovered a motive and incident location.
