Detectives investigating deadly Tuesday night shooting in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston Police are investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday night.

Police received several calls saying shots had been fired on Victory Avenue at about 8:32 p.m., according to Harve Jacobs with North Charleston PD.

When authorities arrived, they found a man lying in the front yard of a home on Victory Ave, Jacobs said. That man was suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders immediately began to aid the victim, but he was confirmed dead shortly after.

Police and the Charleston County Coroner are still on the scene, completing an initial investigation. No suspects have been identified yet.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
