NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department is investigating a homicide that left a teenager dead outside of a North Charleston gas station.

Officers responded to the Marathon gas station at 3543 Dorchester Rd around 12:20 a.m. for a reported shooting.

According to authorities, upon arrival officers found a 19-year-old male outside the store, lying on the ground, suffering from gunshot wounds.

“Despite life-saving measures, the victim died at the scene,” said Harve Jacobs, spokesperson for the North Charleston Police Department.

Security footage shows multiple suspects wearing all black, getting out of a blue pick-up truck, and shooting the victim multiple times as he walked out of the store, according to an incident report. The suspects then got back in the truck and fled the scene.

Officers searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the vehicle.

No arrests have been made, officials say.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office and North Charleston Police Department are investigating.
