    Coroner identifies former unknown pedestrian killed in Summerville crash

    BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim killed in a collision on August 23.

    Jaime Joel Flores-Castillo, 35, of Mexico was killed in a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision on College Park Rd near Moses Extension in Summerville.

    He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Officials say his death was due to the injuries sustained in the collision.

    Flores-Castillo went unidentified by the coroner’s office for nearly two weeks. Coroner Hartwell described him as a Hispanic male between 30-45 years old.

    The Berkeley County Corner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
