Cookin’ on the Creek BBQ Festival returns to Edisto Beach in October

EDISTO BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) – A popular barbeque festival will return to Edisto Beach for its fifth year this fall.

Organizers say the Cookin’ on the Creek BBQ Festival will be “bigger and better than ever” at Bay Creek Park for two days on October 11 and 12. The celebration features mouthwatering BBQ, live music, and family-friendly activities.

Guests can enjoy $1 BBQ sampling from the best pitmasters in the state. Samples are available until they run out, so organizers say people should arrive early!

There will also be a selection of beer and wine for purchase, and live performances will include Naomi Jewel Merchant and Pat Cooper’s country tunes on Friday night and YeeHaw Junction’s bluegrass on Saturday.

“Bring your chairs and settle in for great food, music, and community spirit,” organizers said.

Admission is free on both days. The festival runs from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, and 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Proceeds from the festival will support the upkeep of Bay Creek Park and community programs. The park is located next to the marina at Edisto Beach.
