CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police are investigating a downtown Charleston assault. They need the public’s help identifying a person involved.

The Charleston Police Department said the assault happened on Calhoun Street during the late hours of August 24.

Officials say the victim was repeatedly punched in the face inside a restaurant around 11:30 p.m.
