    Charleston Police investigating deadly West Ashley house fire

    CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – One person is dead and another seriously injured following a Sunday morning hours fire in a West Ashley neighborhood.

    Officers with the Charleston Police Department responded to a home on Seabago Drive around 10 a.m. after getting reports of a fire.

    Firefighters from the Charleston and Saint Andrews fire departments were dispatched to the scene and began conducting rescue efforts once there.

    One person was rescued from the home and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. A second individual was found inside the residence and died at the scene, according to police.

    The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

    The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing; fire and police personnel remained in the area throughout the afternoon.

    Somebody house must have been about to be foreclosed, so rather than losing the home, He decided to get drunk and set the house on fire. Only to get caught up in the flames 🔥 and was burned to death
