CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday evening on Hayne Street.

On September 8, around 8:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 2100 block of Hayne Street following reports of a fatal altercation.

Earlier in the day, deputies had responded to the same address regarding a conflict between two men living at the residence. At that time, both men chose not to press charges. However, later that evening, another altercation occurred, leading to the death of one of the men.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim Jadin Hernandez-Delcid, a 37-year-old male from North Charleston, died from multiple sharp force injuries at approximately 7:24 p.m.

The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.

CCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Services Unit are investigating the case as a homicide, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact CCSO at 843-202-1700.
