Colleton County’s National Night Out scheduled for October 1

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Colleton County’s law enforcement and first responders will gather for a community celebration early next month.

The county’s ‘National Night Out’ happens October 1 and features the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, Walterboro Police Department, Walterboro Fire Department, and Colleton County Fire Rescue.

National Night Out is an annual community event held by law enforcement agencies nationwide to enhance police-community partnerships.

Those attending can enjoy free food, games, vendors, and meet with their local first responders and officers during the Tuesday night event.

National Night Out takes place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church (124 S. Memorial Avenue).
