Charleston man killed in Anderson County crash

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A Charleston man died following a Thursday morning crash in Anderson County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the auto-pedestrian collision occurred on SC Highway 81 before 1 a.m. Troopers said a Ford Pickup was traveling south when it hit the pedestrian near the intersection of Evergreen Road.

The pedestrian died at the scene, troopers said.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian as 30-year-old Paris Richardson, of Charleston.

His death has been ruled accidental according to the coroner.

The crash remains under investigation by the SCHP.
