CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities announced three additional arrests in connection with two armed robberies that happened last month in downtown Charleston.

Officers with the Charleston Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Pitt Street and Montague Street around 1 a.m. on August 25. Minutes later, police said a second robbery was reported near Coming and Duncan streets.

“In both incidents, the suspects pointed guns at the victims and stole their personal belongings,” said Sgt. Chris Stinson with the Charleston Police Department.

Josiah Jerome Limehouse, 21, of Moncks Corner has been charged with four counts of armed robbery, assault and battery first-degree, and criminal conspiracy.

Limehouse was out on bond for previous charges of attempted murder, intimidation of a witness, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, malicious injury to personal property and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.

Ty’ron Jahiem Kentrell Brown, 21, of Moncks Corner, has been charged with four counts of armed robbery, assault and battery first-degree, and criminal conspiracy.

Police said a 17-year-old was also charged with four counts of armed robbery, assault and battery first-degree, and criminal conspiracy. He was placed into the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Derrick Gaillard, 21, of Moncks Corner, was previously charged with four counts of armed robbery, assault and battery first-degree, and criminal conspiracy.

“The adult suspects are currently in custody at the Al Cannon Detention Center,” said Sgt. Stinson. “This investigation was aided by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and The College of Charleston Public Safety.”

The investigation is ongoing. Police ask that anyone with information about the robberies contact the Charleston Police Department at 843-720-2422 and ask for the on-duty central detective.
