    Coroner ID’s victim found in burning Summerville home

    DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Coroner has identified the victim who was found by police in a burning home in Summerville .

    According to the coroner, Priscilla Ann Yager, 71 of Summerville, was killed in a burglary in her home on September 17.

    Officials say she was found deceased in her home after a reported house fire at around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The coroner pronounced her dead at the scene at 12:30 p.m.

    After investigating, authorities located a suspect who was caught driving the victim’s vehicle. Roger Lavar Smalls, 35, was identified as the driver.

    Summerville Police say Smalls then confessed to murdering the victim.

    The investigation is ongoing.

    that poor lady must have been terrified. He could have simply robbed her and left, he didn't have to kill her. Or better yet, he could've simply been a real man and not been a low-life THIEF!! I hope he gets the chair.
