    Car stolen at gunpoint during downtown armed robbery

    CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston Police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen during a Saturday morning armed robbery.

    The crime happened on Meeting Street around 6 a.m., according to Sgt. Chris Stinson with the Charleston Police Department.

    Sgt. Stinson told News 2 that the victim’s car was stolen at gunpoint during the robbery. He said the car has since been recovered.

    No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

    And the prices to live downtown keep going up and people keep coming here to live. What a perfect area to go rob someone. We need more cameras as the peninsula is turning into the Bronx or Harlem in the wee hr's?

    Let's see🤔 The victim was carjacked at gunpoint, and there was no description of a suspect given.... And we all know,the victim gave CPD a description of the suspect.. So with the media silent on a description tells everyone that it's the USUAL misunderstood society picked on police profiled suspect.
