    Colleton County opens storm debris site for Hurricane Helene cleanup

    COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Colleton County Fire Rescue is opening a debris management site to assist residents with the cleanup of vegetative waste following Hurricane Helene.

    Starting Monday, September 30, residents can bring vegetative debris, such as trees and limbs, to 1497 Industrial Road . The site will operate Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

    The debris site is designated for vegetative waste only , and residents are responsible for transporting their debris to the location. There will be no fee for dumping at the site, though the landfill will not be accepting storm debris.
