MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – The Moncks Corner Police Department will conduct neighborhood walk-and-talks this month to better connect with the communities it serves.

It’s part of an outreach effort where officers walk around a designated neighborhood to meet residents and engage in positive conversations.

“We want to learn how to serve your neighborhood and our community better,” the department said.

Officers will be in Hidden Cove and Faris Residences in October.

The agency said if you live in one of these two neighborhoods, and an officer knocks on your door or approaches you, they are likely engaging in a neighborhood walk-and-talk.
