Police arrest 3 in Mount Pleasant shooting investigation

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Three people were arrested Wednesday night following a shooting near Rifle Range Road and Mack Road.

Officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to reports of multiple shots fired around 4:20 p.m.

All parties remained at the scene and no injuries were reported. An investigation into the shooting led to the discovery of firearms and narcotics at a property.

Three people were arrested.

Kevin Baxter was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.

Cory Gethers was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute crack, possession of schedule II, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and resisting arrest.

Britney Chisolm was charged with trafficking MDMA, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
