Trader Joe’s announces opening date for second Mount Pleasant store

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A new Trader Joe’s is coming to Mount Pleasant by the end of the week.

The second location at 1909 N. Highway 17 Suite C will open for business Friday in Sweetgrass Corner. Officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the 12,500 square-foot space right before doors open at 8 a.m.

Store manager Chris Spina and store employees will be onsite to assist customers at the new store.

100% of the store’s unsold goods that are not expired will be donated to non-profit, community-based organizations.

The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. regularly.
