BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Over 200 voters in Berkeley County received duplicate absentee ballots, and the county is working to discover why.

County officials said so far, 246 duplicates have been reported, and if you receive a duplicate, to report by calling the Berkeley County Voter Registration and Elections at 843-719-4056.

Currently, the county and S.C. Election Commission are working together to investigate why the duplicates were sent.

Berkeley is not the only Lowcountry county to face this problem.

Dorchester County also had about 100 duplicates sent out due to a clerical error, the county’s Voter Registration and Elections Office said.
