River Road reopens after crash with injuries

UPDATE: The roadway has reopened.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County deputies are responding to a Thursday morning crash on River Road.

A section of the Johns Island roadway is closed between approximately Blind Road and Hamilton Road.

Deputies said the crash included injuries.

Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.

Really dangerous road. I bounced off 2 great Oak Trees. The Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to get me out of my brand new Extended SUV which there was nothing left of.
