A Century Young: WCCO produces a double-album record celebrating 100 years of being "The Good Neighbor"

WCCO Radio will be doing a lot of celebrating at the Minnesota State Fair this year and then all the way through October, marking 100 years as Minnesota's Good Neighbor to the Northwest!

Part of that celebrating includes the launch of a 100th anniversary double album chock full of history and highlights, not to mention a peek behind the curtain when things don't go quite as planned.

The album can be purchased for $43.75 plus shipping and handling. That purchase comes with a special code to download all of the audio which includes a digital download code.

The downloaded portion gets you a digital copy of the album, plus more than eight and a half hours of bonus content and over 200 photos with the complete history of the station and its personalities from the past 100 years. There's even a special section of the download where current and former staff members look back on their fondest memories of WCCO and remember what the station has meant to them in their lives.

Proceeds will go to four of WCCO Radio's nonprofit partners: DAVMN, Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, 2nd Harvest Heartland and NMDP.

The album is just the start. Later in October, WCCO will also host a live event . WCCO Radio's Centennial Celebration will take place on Monday, October 21st at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. This will be a ticketed dinner and show featuring current and alumni on-air talent on the Chanhassen stage. Tickets for that will go on sale in early September.
