A couple of weekend shootings in St. Paul are still under investigation Monday.

St. Paul Police have arrested a suspect in an afternoon shooting Sunday outside of a post office.

It happened around 3:30 at the branch in the 1700 block of West 7th Street near the ramp to Interstate 35E.

The victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to Regions Hospital.

Less than 90 minutes later, officers arrested the suspect during a traffic stop near 7th and Madison. Police believe the two men were coworkers at the post office.

    That case remains under investigation.

Also, St. Paul Police are still looking for a suspect in the shooting death of a man Saturday night on the city's north end.

Officers were called to the scene at Woodrich Street and Wheelock Parkway at about 10:00 p.m. The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.

St. Paul Police Sergeant Mike Ernster says they need help from the public in finding out what happened.

"They don't even have to call us directly," says Ernster. "If they have something that they want to share with us, I would encourage them to contact a pastor, a trusted family friend, it can be a third party. Just contact somebody."

There are now 21 reported homicides in St. Paul this year.
