    Community Spotlight: Unity Era Red and Black Gala in Decatur

    CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — A gala is coming up in Decatur. Unity Christian School’s Andrea Gerhard and Jaci Osborne joined Amanda Brennan to discuss the event for Thursday’s Community Spotlight.

    The Unity Era Red and Black Gala will be on May 3 at 5:30 p.m. It will take place right at Unity Christian School. The event will offer dinner, drinks, desserts, and items available for auction.

    Decatur warns of roofing scams after severe weather

    Attendees are encouraged to dress up as the era they attended high school in. They may also dress in red and black, their favorite spirit wear, or in comfortable attire.

    Gala tickets are available for $40 a person at casbid.com/ticketing . Organizers encourage purchasing tickets by April 30 to be eligible for a limo ride and red carpet entrance. Proceeds from the gala will go towards scholarships for school students.
