Community Spotlight: Buckley Community Group’s upcoming events

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Michelle Mitchell and Peggy Shockley joined Amanda Brennan on the Morning Show to talk about the Buckley Community Group and their many upcoming events.

The Buckley Community Group organizes most of the events that take place in Buckley, Mitchell said. That includes the time-honored Buckley Fun Day coming up on June 15 at Buckley Lake. The day will feature a bake sale, a golf cart parade, a dunk tank, and more .

Here are some other events that the Buckley community can look forward to:

• Community Garage Sale : April 26-27 at 8 a.m.
  • Maps are available at Buckley State Bank.
• Night Out Paint Party : May 3 at 5:30 p.m.
• Junk in the Trunk : May 25, June 29, July 27, Aug. 31, Sept. 28
• Falloween : Oct. 19 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
