CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Central Illinois has already gotten a brief taste of the crisp autumn air, and it might have left some feeling eager to pick some pumpkins or wander around the nearest orchard. But where can you find them, and when will they open?
Crowley Pumpkins boasts not only pumpkins, but corn, squash, flowers, adorable photo opportunities, and more. An afternoon at this Mahomet location will be sure to provide a good old-fashioned autumn afternoon for any family.
Visiting Curtis Orchard is a longstanding fall tradition for many locals around southwest Champaign. They offer apple and pumpkin-picking, horse-drawn carriage rides, specialty food items, outdoor activities and a large country store.
When you think of reindeer, you probably think of wintertime — but Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch also offers plenty of autumnal activities. That includes a challenging fall corn maze and hay rides. Once you’re done, you can beat the winter rush and get up-close with real Alaskan reindeer.
