TUSCOLA (WCIA) — Preseason practices are underway for the Tuscola Warriors, who look to get back to the postseason once again.

The Warriors finished 2023 with a 5-5 record after falling in the first round of the postseason heading into the new season.

Tuscola brings back experience at the receiver and defensive back spots, looking to build on the strong winning tradition set by previous teams.

“It’s very important. We keep that in the back of our minds every rep, every practice, every game,” junior offensive and defensive lineman Cameron Jones said.

Keeping the tradition alive, hopefully the end result is getting another banner on that wall and another ring on our finger.”

Every day, it’s getting better and better. Closer and closer to our goal of getting to be a good team and I’m looking forward to seeing our progress till the end of the year.”

“I know that’s a big part for the audience and the town,” senior receiver and defensive back Parker James said.

“Everybody comes to these games and it’s a big part of the community, so we’re just keep trying to get it better every week at a time.”

The Warriors open the season at home against Warrensburg-Latham August 30 at 7:00 p.m.
