GIBSON CITY, Ill. (WCIA) — A manufacturing facility in Ford County will close next year.

WCIA obtained a letter sent to employees Tuesday. In the letter, the Alamo Group said they will consolidate operations at their RhinoAg facility in Gibson City to the Bush Hog facility in Selma, Alabama by the end of March 2025.

RhinoAg president Lisa Tubbs said in the letter the decision is a “strategic move necessary for the long-term sustainability” of the company.

The company offers products like rotary cutters, flex-wing mowers, single spindles mowers, Multi-spindles mowers, boom mowers, and finish mowers according to their website.

WCIA reached out to a spokesperson for RhinoAg but they did not respond.

Layoffs are expected begin in October.

    This is a developing story.
