MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — It’s still summer but many in Central Illinois are starting to feel the cooler temperatures.

People and businesses are getting ready for fall, including Crowley Pumpkin Patch in Mahomet. The owner said they’ll have more than 10,000 pumpkins of all sizes for sale and it’s been a pretty good year for their fields.

“Like the rain is obviously really helping it because, I mean, you need water,” Colton Crowley said. “And other than that, we got a couple new fields, so the soil is kind of new on those and really healthy and pumpkins are growing good there.”

Crowley said they’ll be doing their annual pumpkin glow where people come out to carve hundreds of pumpkins, set them near the road at night, and ride past them. They’ll also be introducing a new corn maze.
