Illini upperclassmen named to preseason watch lists

CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — Illinois Football landed more players on pre season watch lists.

Seth Coleman, Gabe Jacas, Pat Bryant and J.C. Davis have been named to the 2025 Senior Bowl Watch List.

Since 2022, six former Illini have played in the senior bowl, including Keith Randolph Jr. and Isaiah Adams last season.

Ole Miss transfer receiver Zakhari Franklin has been named to the 2024 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List.

The award recognizes the top player that played high school football in Texas and/or currently plays high school football for a Texas college.

The former UTSA standout and Cedar Hill, Texas native enters the season as the NCAA’s active leader in career receptions (266), receiving yards (3,386), and receiving touchdowns (38).
